Lorraine

In worried eyes,
The world seems to quake and shake,
To what may behold the one so bold,
As to ask a question or to say a word,
To quiver in your chair or feel your stomach turn,
To hear your own heart pound,
Your lips quiver,
And your body trembles,
And before you,
Is a man,
He proposal presented and his heart commended,
In a loving vow he pledged,
And eternal love shall be set,
Upon this perch it sat,
The world would only grow silent if not for a moment,
When your breath left your chest and your mind moving faster then ever,
A warm sensation drifts in your chest,
Your skin trembles,
And your eyes are no longer worried,
But full of life and glitter,
If words could speak to the emotion in this moment,
When one man made the world hush,
Then I do suppose that moment would live in verbal infamy
